A Legacy of Enrichment and Discovery

MOtivate our minds

educating children and families to grow and flourish.

During the summer of 1987, Mary Dollison and Raushanah Shabazz wanted to educate and empower neighborhood children. The two mothers offered their first six-week summer program in Mrs. Dollison’s living room during Muncie’s summer break. At the end of the six weeks, the students begged for the program to continue. The students were hungry for knowledge, and they wanted more.

Today, Motivate Our Minds’ legacy continues by offering thriving educational programs on a thriving campus. We continue to focus on honoring the rich legacy established over 30 years ago.

We continue to provide academic achievement and enrichment programs focused on empowering the next generation of educators, innovators, and leaders. The community has been incredibly supportive of the children and families we serve, and its belief and support continue to play a vital role in our ability to empower today’s youth and strengthen families. MOM is committed to helping students build character and establish transformative relationships through the experiences we offer. When students know that others care about their personal development and outcomes, they begin to recognize their own potential.
